🎷 Tracey – Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet & Vocals

Tracey Mendham is a highly experienced jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist, performing across a wide range of styles including jazz, swing, soul, Motown, funk, ska, Latin, and easy listening.

With an extensive career spanning decades, Tracey has performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues and festivals. In 2014, she joined Roberto Pla’s Latin Ensemble, performing on flute, tenor and baritone saxophone at renowned events and venues including the Goodwood Revival and Barbican Centre, as well as PizzaExpress Jazz Club and The Jazz Cafe.

She has been a long-standing member of “One Jump Ahead,” performing for over 20 years at iconic venues such as 100 Club and Hideaway Jazz Club.

Tracey also leads her own jazz quartet, performing at leading venues and festivals including the Swanage Jazz Festival, The Spice of Life, Wilton’s Music Hall, The Savoy, and The Grosvenor Hotel.

Her theatre credits include performances with Qdos Entertainment (now First Family Entertainment) in multiple pantomimes, as well as her West End debut in the musical Crazy for You, where she regularly deputised on saxophone, clarinet and flute.

Tracey has also toured and performed with Roy Hemmings in his Motown show, appearing at venues including Boisdale.

In 2007, she formed her own jazz quartet and recorded the album The Orphan Manuscript. The group has performed extensively across London and the UK jazz circuit, alongside appearances at international events such as the Marciac Jazz Festival.

Throughout her career, Tracey has worked with world-class musicians including Harry “Sweets” Edison, Darius Brubeck, Alan Barnes, Simon Spillett, Nigel Price, Vasilis Xenopoulos, and Jacob Collier.

She has performed with numerous big bands including those led by Willie Garnett and Kelvin Christiane, as well as projects such as Dave Hammer’s Little Big Horn and Steely Dan tribute acts. She also had the honour of deputising with the legendary Humphrey Lyttelton Band.
